Form Settings
ProForm provides flexible settings to control how your form behaves, including how data is displayed post-submission and whether your form is actively receiving new entries.
Display Submitted Data
This setting determines whether the names of your form's inputs and their corresponding values are shown to the user immediately after they submit the form.
- Purpose: Provides instant confirmation to the user of the specific data they've submitted. This can enhance user experience by offering transparency and reassurance.
- Optional Control: This feature is entirely optional. You can easily toggle it on or off based on your preferences, the nature of the collected data, or specific privacy requirements for your form.
User Experience Tip
Displaying submitted data can be very useful for feedback forms or applications where users might want a quick recap. For sensitive data, consider keeping this setting off.
Form Availability (Open/Closed)
The "Open" attribute controls whether your form is publicly accessible and actively capable of receiving new submissions.
- Purpose: Manages the active status of your form, allowing you to make it available or unavailable for submissions as needed.
- Control: You have the ability to edit this setting at
any time to:
- Prevent further submissions after a specific deadline.
- Close the form once a submission quota has been reached.
- Temporarily or permanently stop collecting responses.
Important Note on Availability
Changing the "Open" setting immediately affects the form's ability to receive new submissions. Ensure you communicate any changes in form availability to your users if necessary.
